Why this is different
I am not a career-changer who recently discovered finance
I started at Euromoney in Hong Kong in 1995. Over the following three decades I worked in financial publishing, investment communications at Mercer Investments, Fidelity and Lloyds Banking Group / Schroders Personal Wealth, and as a communications consultant to institutional and wholesale financial clients across the UK, US and Luxembourg.
I have spent 25 years watching how financial products are marketed, how advice is packaged, and where the gaps between industry interests and client interests tend to open up. That is the perspective I bring to independent financial advice.
I also run Invest Without Being Ripped Off — a free resource helping ordinary people set up low-cost, low-maintenance investment portfolios. It has no ads, no sponsors, and no hidden agenda.
